A man fell to his death while he was allegedly taking selfies from the ninth floor of a condominium in Quezon City on Thursday morning, a belated report said.
Police said Enrique Dehesa, 24, of Sta. Ana, Manila, met his untimely death at around 11:30 a.m. when he fell nine floors down the JV Managers Tower in Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City.
Investigation revealed that he lost his balance while he was “taking selfies” on the grills of an air condition unit by the window of one of the rooms. He was reportedly drunk.
Dehesa’s girlfriend, Dahlia Lopez, told police that along with a roommate, they decided to take some booze when he paid a visit in their unit.
They had a number of bottles when Dehesa excused himself to take selfies. Heavily drunk, Dehesa climbed out of the window and sat on the grills of the air condition unit.
Lopez said she warned her boyfriend and asked him to return inside. However, Dehesa ignored her, and even attempted to stand on the grills, but he slipped to the ground.
A concerned citizen also saw the accident and reported it to authorities.
